ABOUT THIS COURSE
The Resilience Room is providing a reflective and experiential course exploring loss, grief and emotional resilience in both personal and professional settings. Through discussion, practical exercises and shared learning, participants will develop greater understanding, confidence and compassion when supporting people experiencing grief and bereavement.
WHAT THE COURSE COVERS
- Understanding different types of loss and grief
- Emotional, physical and behavioural responses to bereavement
- Grief theories and the factors that influence grief
- Attachment, family dynamics and complicated grief
- Anticipatory grief and professional loss
- Coping strategies, resilience and self-care
- Different grieving styles and supportive communication
WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL GAIN
- Increased confidence in supporting grieving individuals and families
- Greater self-awareness and emotional insight
- Practical tools and reflective strategies for resilience
- A safe and supportive space for shared learning and discussion
This one-day course is designed for practising and trainee counsellors, and is suitable as CPD for anyone supporting people affected by illness, loss or bereavement.
LOCATION
This is an in-person course in Crewe. Best suited to counsellors within roughly 20 miles. If you're further afield and want to attend, get in touch — we'll be running this course in other locations in future.
